We are going to dispense with our normal review for this section. Tru Moroccan has, in our opinion crossed over the marketing claim line a tad too far. That belief is the story for this review.
In the text copied right off their text on Amazon are these words, “Our shampoo is made from the highest quality organic, vegan, plant-based ingredients.”
We do not believe that to be true. We also believe the company should change their ingredient list to be healthier especially with such a bold ‘health implying’ meaning. The message implies healthy, 98% (or so) of their ingredient list implies health, but this ingredient list comes with a potential for some serious toxicity.
By itself, ALS is rated rather low as a moderate risk. However, there is a high contamination risk of two other chemicals.
Ethylene Oxide is the highest threat level in our measuring system.
Now in both the case for Ethylene Oxide and 1, 4-Dioxane, we only listed the cancer concerns and not all the concerns.
In the BeHealtyBeMore scoring, we would rate the Ethylene Oxide as an automatic -20% reduction and not recommend the ingredient list be purchased in any product.
The 1, 4-Dioxane would be an automatic -15% deduction and depend on other factors, probably pan the ingredient list with a recommendation, not bot buy.
But in this case, the concern is for contamination. It is not known if there will be contamination. So it is up to you consider if the risk for contamination is worth your continued use of the ingredient list.
We start with the healthy stuff. The longer the green bar, the more healthy the ingredient.
The longer the orange bar, the healthier the ingredient. Some of the ingredient concerns will be listed with the ingredient name.
We don’t like seeing high health threats. They carry a 10% to 20% mandatory reduction to the ingredient health score. The longer the red bar, the higher the threat and the more you should consider finding something healthier.
We know we will not be popular with our (1 / 5) rating. But then our purpose is not to be popular, but to help you make a healthy decision.
We do not believe this ingredient list is worth the potential risk so we recommend you look for something more healthy that will work for you.
